Can you tell us about the filming of Cosmopolis, David Cronenberg?

I play an art saleswoman who has sex with a rich young man, played by Robert Pattinson, who is trying to sell her paintings. I shot two days, in a highly cronenberguien, that is to say quite distant while shooting, but warm at the start and finish. It was in front a green background, in a limousine with a camera directed at a distance, David talked through a microphone. At first I was intoxicated with the idea of ​​playing a sort of berserk. But at the end of the scene, she finds herself in a lonely miserable. Leaving the movie, I felt badly. And that’s exactly what David wanted to tell: the illusion of prosperity and the sense of a world that falls and loses

“I would say [he is] the hardest-working person I’ve ever worked with, honestly,” she said. “[He's] professional, hard-working, so appreciative, more grateful than I’ve ever seen anyone for where he is in life.”

Given the fact that Witherspoon has been in the business for decades and experienced every facet of being famous, we asked her to weigh in on the current fan frenzy that surrounds Pattinson wherever he goes and how it may or may not affect a person.

“I’ve never experienced what he has — going to premieres and there’s just millions of people waiting for him to touch them,” she said. “I think it must be strange, but I don’t even know how to process what he deals with and Kristen [Stewart] deals with. I don’t know.”

The Oscar-winning actress said Pattinson handles his fame very well, despite the sometimes-chaotic circumstances. “[He's]a really cool guy,” she said.

The talented twosome star in forthcoming flick Bel Ami, with Holliday playing Robert‘s love interest – it’s a tough job eh?

The Jane Eyre actress had no nerves when it came to puckering up with Rob, as she knew him pre-Twilight days, when they both appeared in 2007 film The Bad Mother’s Handbook.

Holliday said: “I’ve worked with him pre-Twilight so I wasn’t massively scared having to go in there and snog him.”

When asked if Rob had changed since becoming a global heartthrob, she laughed: “No, not at all. He’s a lovely guy. Always has been.”

Did you bond with Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart?
Yes, they’re incredible. Very warm and quiet. We got along great, and Rob liked to take care of my Terrier when I had to shoot.

GS: Who’s got crazier fans – well, let’s call them ‘passionate’ fans, Viggo Mortensen or Robert Pattinson?

SG: You know I thought it would be Rob, but then when we were in Venice Viggo has some diehard fans, and they just they love him! They freak out for him. But you know Rob doesn’t even have fans … he has this like, CIA. They know where he is, they know everything, they know every detail – they’re on it, so….

GS: That means you’re in it! You know we have a photograph here – every time there’s a photo of you and him together … [this is actually a great shot of the two of you in a scene] …when you get caught up in that, does your life change at all, in any way?

SG: Well, I think when we were shooting I made a really strong effort to not pay attention to any press, or anything, because you’re so involved in your characters and in your work, and you don’t want anything on the outside to inform this working relationship that you’re creating, and so I really tried to block that out, but then afterwards when the shooting finished and people kept saying things to me I kind of thought wow you know – maybe that really was a whirlwind that we were caught up in.
