Hey everyone! If you remember, a while back we decided to launch an editorial section for the site. Originally we wanted it to be a weekly think but have been so busy that we haven’t been able to keep it up so instead we’re writing when we can. You can check out a few of the editorials on our “Water Cooler” section on the side panel if you want to see what it’s all about.
Today, we’ve got something new for you.
Our Affiliate over at LookingForMore blog is publishing a series of interesting blogs about Robert Pattinson and dedicating a section of their site to it. You probably don’t know if this site but you do know of the blogger since she has other Robert Pattinson film sites like Cosmopolis Film, Maps to the Stars Film and has set up site for the upcoming Hold on to Me , Life Film and and Mission: Blacklist. Different from your general Rob fansites (like ours) her sites provide a more in depth look into the films overall and this new site Looking for More gives us even MORE information on film making details.
Her first blog on the Robert Pattinson series focuses on him being “the real deal.” Meaning, he’s not just another pretty face that is hiding who he is. With Pattinson, what you see is what you get. He is charming, charismatic and an all around great guy. Not a lot of people get his likeability and wonder why so many women (not only teenage girls) like the guy. Not only that, with his recent film project he has also developed a male fan base..fanboys as some may call them and..like I said before, what is there not to like?
Yes, people can judge him for his choices on his personal life or what have you but in reality, why are we all fans? Because of who he dates or doesn’t date or because of what he does with his career?
As our Elite Affiliate at Looking for More states:
“Why does the actor Robert Pattinson have so many loyal fans? It is his reputation as a talented actor and musician? Is it that he’s very handsome with a tremendous on-screen presence? Are these qualities enough to explain Pattinson’s powerful appeal to fans of many ages?
There seems to be more to it- a fondness for the guy. There’s something very likable about this young actor and young man, that inspires such a loyal and informed following.
The short story: What those who know Robert Pattinson say about him:
The quotes in this post are from people who know Pattinson well, who have worked with him, or are in a position in the industry to know “the real deal” when they see it. They tell us he has a winning personality and is the exact opposite of a diva. The words nice, lovely, sweet, humble and down-to-earth are used most frequently to describe him. People who know him find him a genuine and likable.
Is it a picture is worth a thousand words, or is it a thousand words is worth a picture? A concept map I created from the full set of quotes:
Now for the longer story- QUOTES showing Pattinson’s Genuine, Winning Personality:
The fact of having so many quotes that speak to Pattinson’s winning personality- isn’t that impressive in and of itself?

The Dior interviews keep coming. Not really any new quotes but more of a recap of previously seen answers. EEither way, we love seeing Rob on the magazines.
One of the weirdest encounters that Rob Pattinson had when he was “out of character” was with an intrepid seven year old fan who passionately asked him “Bite me, please.” The phrase sums up the desire of millions of women around the world, of all ages, that wouldn’t care to feel a bite on the carotid from him .
But Rob is slowly leaving behind the ghost of Edward Cullen, the famous vampire from The Twilight Saga. No wonder that this artistic grown was responsible for the invitation to be the new face of the Dior Homme campaign. “Dior is a name so iconic, and I love what people call the French touch,” says the actor . The campaign video, directed by Romain Gavras ,shows us a sexy ‘bad boy’ version of Rob. Opposite the model Camille Rowe at the sound of ‘Whole Lotta Love’ by Led Zeppelin, he personifies the cool urban young man, elegant, adventurous, and seductive. “The idea to redefine a classic fragrance was very attractive to me, and anything with a “heavier” air, associated with Dior, brings an interesting mix of emotions. Romain and I imagined someone quite sophisticated but a little wild. A free spirit that do what he wants and is fearless about it.” And for him the free spirits are much more attractive. “I’m fascinated by people who genuinely don’t care to what others think.”
“When we thought about the character in the film, we immediately imagined a younger Jean-Paul Belmondo. A seductive man, witty and fun.” Robert Pattinson

You just closed the partnership with Dior. Was the invite for the campaign a surprise? (Elle Brazil)
When Dior contacted me, I was truly shocked at first because their name alone is almost mythical. It’s a very sofisticated fashion house, that never compromises their image. They approached me in the right way and at the right time because Twilight was coming to an end. I remember I was impressed when I met with the creative team and saw that they had an extremely open mind. Their interest was in an artistic collaboration, more than the commercial itself.
What kind of person is the man wearing Dior Homme? (Faces)
He smells incredibly good!
— NEW QUESTION – Not a bad start. Lets continue.
The idea of reviving a classic perfume has very much caught my attention. Because the brands classic style has something appealing to men. Thats why when being together with Romain Gavras we dreamed of a sophisticated but also a little bit of a wild character. Doing what he wants to do, daring, a free spirited person. Not affected by fashion trends, going his own way this man definitely has an infinite energy.

Since his role in the vampire saga Twilight, Robert Pattinson is part of Hollywood’s A-list of actors. Therefore it is hardly surprising that he was chosen to be the new face of Dior Homme. STYLE UP YOUR LIFE! met with the trendy film star for an interview.
Smells often trigger memories of certain things.
What do you associate with certain smells?I remember very clearly that my father always used to wear Brut de Faberge“. Do you remember that fragrance? He still owns it today and it reminds me of my early time at school. It‘s anchored very deeply in my memory and to this day I remember exactly how it smells. When I started getting interested in girls (at about age 12), I decided it was cool to wear perfume. On a holiday in Portugal I watched some teenagers go into a bar. To convince them I was older, I put on some Eau de Cologne (laughs).
Are there landscapes or towns you associate with certain smells?
My father is from Yorkshire, where you get a lot of heather in the moors. That smell is simply unbelievable. We used to go there at Christmas and although I haven‘t been there for a long time, I still remember that smell.
Do you have a favorite smell?
It doesn’t necessarily have to be a perfume. I like the smell of people! (laughs) It is really strange and I‘m sure it has to do with pheromones. We like people because subconsciously we like the way they smell. I always find this very interesting to observe.
You are 27 years old. Do you wear perfume to feel comfortable or to seduce?
It still feels like something very grown up. If you use perfume when going out, you‘re going out for a very specific reason (smiles).
Which woman could wear Dior Homme in your opinion?
A free thinker! A headstrong woman who refuses to smell “pretty“. She never does exactly what you would expect of her. It certainly would be a woman with a very specific image of femininity.
Do London (where you have lived), New York (where you shot the campaign) and Paris (home of Dior) have their own smell?
Apart from my family I miss the smell of London after i trained the most. The airports Heathrow and Gatwick are surrounded by fields. When you land there you immediately smell wet grass and it really always rains when I land there. New York is totally different. For me the town smells of food, because it’s available at every corner. Strangely enough I never associate France with food although it is a large part of the French culture. It’s more of a visual thing, a certain feeling. Paris IS a feeling. To describe Paris is a bit like describing Dior. It’s a very different world. I really love strolling freely through a town in which films are still respected as an art form.
Looks like principle photography will begin in January 2014 and released by Summer 2014.
In an interview with E! Online Nicole Kidman, who is rumored to replace Naomi Watts in the upcoming Queen of the Desert, talked about working with Roert Pattinson and braving his fans.
If you haven’t heard by now, the Oscar winner is likely replacing her bestie Naomi Watts to star opposite Pattinson in Queen of the Desert, a period piece about British writer, traveler, archeologist and spy Gertrude Bell.
“That’s OK, I’ll be ready,” Kidman told me about the Twi-fans when I caught up with her Variety’s Power of Women event on Friday. “I think they’ll have a tough time finding us over there in Morocco, won’t they?”
Kidman did admit she still isn’t officially attached to the project. “It’s not all signed, sealed and delivered,” she said. “But…it’s certainly in rapid sort of motion.”
